Boston Tea Party: Colonists dumped the British's tea into the Boston Harbor. The Reason being that they were angry at the British govenment for taxing the colonies. While the colonists were doing this you can see in the picture that they had dressed up as Native Americans. A post on PeachPundit.com yesterday announced that Atlanta would soon be joining the movement of hosting tea parties.
No, these aren’t the kinds of tea parties your grandmother might host. Yeah, they’re the kind of tea parties hosted by revolutionaries.
The movement of hosting tea parties comes only days after CNBC’s Rick Santelli launched into a rant on air about President Barack Obama’s stimulus plan. Since then conservative talkers have been playing sound bites from the video non-stop.
During his rant, Santelli alludes to Chicagoans… Chicagoites… whatever… people from Chicago holding a tea party in Lake Michigan in July (I’m assuming the tea party will wait for warmer temperatures?)
And for those keeping score, Santelli even compares the America to Cuba. Yeah…

Conservatives in Atlanta have scheduled a tea party at the Georgia Capitol for this Friday (February 27th) at high noon. More information about the tea party is available at PeachPundit.com.
