Every now and then on-air news folks get a word or a phrase stuck in their heads. It’s usually a buzz word or a cliche. Sometimes it is a word like “suspect” or a phrase like “tough economic times”.
Over the past few days, temperatures in the Atlanta area have dropped, bringing a blast of winter to the South in Spring. Meteorologists have been warning viewers about the cold snap and urging them to take the necessary precautions, like “protect tender vegetation”, whatever that means.
