I’ve got a busy Friday lined up, and I haven’t even been to the morning editorial meeting yet. Here are a couple of things I’ve got my eye on today:
It’s National Public Gardens Day. Celebrate at the Atlanta Botanical Garden on what is expected to be a warm and sunny day! I’ll be out there to talk to HGTV’s Paul “The Garden Guy” James.
The latest national employment numbers are out. Ironically we’ve added jobs, but the unemployment rate went up.
Jobs Up 290,000; Jobless Rate Rises to 9.9 Pct.
WASHINGTON (AP) — More confident employers stepped up job creation in April, expanding payrolls by 290,000, the most in four years. The jobless rate rose to 9.9 percent as people streamed back into the market looking for work.
And, I’ll be talking with the folks at Yahoo! about the latest online search trends here in Atlanta. Of course, Mother’s Day (this Sunday) is one of the hottest trends out there.
