Journalists are no strangers to the concept of transparency. They seek transparency in topics and newsmakers they cover every.

So, it should come as no surprise that journalists want to be transparent in their own reporting.

Often journalists will show their transparency by posting source documents and extended interview cuts online their news organizations websites.

Thanks to DocumentCloud.org, posting those documents is fast and easy.

News organizations can request access to DocumentCloud. Once their credentials are reviewed, those organizations can then create individual accounts for the journalists in their newsroom.

Documents uploaded to DocumentCloud are also analyzed and processed, creating text (almost entirely accurate) versions of the once “flat” PDFs. The text capability allows journalists and the public to search the documents for words and phrases, deepening the possibility for analysis.
